Two Dublin Landmark Pubs for Sale

CBRE have confirmed their instructions to offer for sale The Barge, Charlemont Street, Dublin 2 and J.W. Sweetman, Burgh Quay, Dublin 2. The two high profile pubs are offered for sale on behalf of Quinn Hospitality Ireland Operations Limited.

The Barge, Charlemont Street, Dublin 2

The Barge is one of Dublin’s landmark licensed premises occupying a prominent trading position overlooking the Grand Canal at Charlemont Bridge. The property is located in a populated residential and commercial area and is close to the Harcourt Street and Wexford Street entertainment areas. The surrounding area is the Central Business District of the city.

The Charlemont Street area has been transformed with the recent completion of Charlemont Square, a redefining urban mixed-use development, adjacent to The Barge. Sweetman (formally Messrs Maguire’s) is an imposing and extensive licensed premises occupying a commanding trading position overlooking the River Liffey at O’Connell Bridge and immediately adjacent to O’Connell Street in the heart of Dublin city centre. The property is situated close to the cross city Luas line. The property is also convenient to Dart station at Tara Street, Bus Aras and mainline rail at Connelly Station. The property is strategically located close to the expanding Dockland district and convenient to the 3Arena. The property is also close to Temple Bar, one of the principal entertainment areas of the city and many of Dublin’s main tourist attractions.
