CBRE appoints new Director of Planning

León Murray has joined CBRE Ireland as lead of our Planning division. CBRE’s Peter Garrigan, Head of Development Land said the appointment came at a pivotal time in the market.

His expertise will be invaluable in assisting both existing and new clients through the intricate planning and development process. The addition of the Planning team not only enriches our existing service lines but also equips us to assist our client’s design, develop and deliver sustainable communities.”
In his new role, León will be providing CBRE clients with the advice needed to facilitate new development by assessing need, understanding impacts, and promoting social and economic benefits, alongside building business cases for public funding to unlock or accelerate development and regeneration sites.
León has an acute understanding of the Irish planning system and considerable experience in the planning and development industry. His previous roles include senior positions at Turley Planning and RPS Group Ltd in Dublin, Ireland. León also gained international experience, working in the planning and development industry in London, England and Vancouver, Canada.
Prior to joining CBRE, León was responsible for providing strategic planning advice and preparing planning applications for various development types and sizes, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, strategic infrastructure initiatives, and regenerative placemaking and master planning; with this experience spanning both the public and private sectors.
